Liverpool's target desiring Anfield move completes transfer

Real Madrid's Martin Odegaard has been a big fan of Liverpool since boyhood

The Norwegian spent the second half of last season at Arsenal on loan from the Los Blancos and impressed in the 20 apperances he made.

Now, the Emirates club have completed a permanent deal for the 22-year-old on a five year contract for a fee believed to be in the region of €35 million (£30million).

Odegaard has been a big fan of Liverpool since boyhood and once admitted in an interview that his dream club would be the Merseyside Reds.

He said: "Liverpool have always been my dream club. But I will not let this affect my decision when I choose a new club.

"It's all about finding the team that is best for me and for my development. That is not necessarily Liverpool. I haven't really thought about my future yet.

"I will end the season here and then visit a number of clubs. I have not made a final decision yet, though.

"Of course, it's flattering when you hear that big clubs are after you, but I don't think about it too often."
