Liverpool forward Diogo Jota has been sent home ahead of Portugal's game with Luxembourg tonight
Jota missed Monday's open training session with what is reported to be a muscle issue.
The Reds forward is with the Seleccao as they prepare for Tuesday's game with Luxembourg at Estadio Algarve, but was not part of the squad that beat Qatar 3-0 on Saturday.
In a statement , the Portuguese FA confirmed that the forward had already left the national squad after being deemed unavailable for selection:
"Diogo Jota was dismissed by the National Selector, Fernando Santos, after being considered unavailable by the FPF Health and Performance Unit to face Luxembourg, in a meeting to be held this Tuesday."
