Wayne Rooney has forecasted Liverpool winning the Premier League but not actually what he wants
Just one point seperates Liverpool and Manchester City heading into the final few matches of this season's Premier League campaign in a title race that looks set to again go down to the final day.
Deciding who comes out on top is not so simple, however Rooney is of the view that it will be the Reds who prevail as champions and "hopes not".
"I'd prefer none of them but obviously one of them is," Rooney said.
"I think Liverpool might nick it. I think they've really looked strong over the last few months and I think winning the FA Cup semi-final could have an impact on that.
"So I've just got a feeling that Liverpool might nick it. I hope not – I'd rather City win it."
