The Real Madrid boss won his last meeting with Liverpool in February 2021 to record the Toffees’ first win at Anfield in more than two decades.
Asked if he'd had any messages from the Evertonians , the 62-year-old laughed and said: "I know the Evertonian supporters and for sure there is a big rivalry on Merseyside. I had good memories of my time spent in Liverpool on the blue side. I am sure that they will support me tomorrow."
On his switch to Real after a season and a half at Merseyside, he added: "It is a big contrast. I've thought about that, how things were very different last year and then there was a phone call with the Real president. That feels like a long time ago."
