Jose Enrique wants Liverpool to hijack Matheus Nunes deal after cooling down their interest

Liverpool are currently hampered by injuries and would make sense if they sign a midfielder before the end of the transfer window, putting forward the injury history of most of their senior midfield players available.

Tweeting on Wednesday morning, Former Liverpool left-back Jose Enrique wrote: "Come on LFC, get in the middle of this deal and get him.

Enrique further responded to comments on his tweet, he replied one: "Yes mate, top player, and for that price, I believe it makes sense to us. And played most of the games for the last two seasons, this is even more important to us that he is most of the time available to play."

Wolves have reportedly agreed a record fee with Sporting CP for Nunes but the Portuguese is yet to agree personal terms with the Molineux club.
