It was stated that Jurgen Klopp is considering ending Arthur Melo's loan to Liverpool after just two weeks

The Brazilian midfielder is reportedly unlucky to have the Liverpool manager unhappy with him. It was suggested that Klopp doesn't like Melo and is willing to end his loan soon after he joined the team.

Arthur arrived on transfer deadline day as an emergency loanee from Juventus. Despite only one appearance as a substitute, there's been report in Italy that the 26-year-old has  been a poor performer compared to what Klopp has expected.

Popular journalist Guillem Balague  has rubbished these claims however, tweeting that the Merseyside club aren't less impressed with the midfielder.

Furthermore, everything Klopp has said publicly about Arthur shows that the Liverpool  boss is delighted to be working with the former Barcelona midfielder.

Klopp first said of Arthur when he joined the team: "What does he bring? He's a really good footballer – I think we all agree on that. He had a very exciting career already and still pretty young, so in the best age for a footballer or coming into the best age for a footballer.

"He gives rhythm, he can give rhythm, he's a really good passer, has speed with the ball, safe on the ball and, how I said, can demand rhythm, which is pretty important, really good in tight areas – all these kind of things. I like it a lot.

"And now, of course, it's like this, 'Why can you loan a player like this? Because it didn't work out 100 per cent at Juventus.' But I see that rather as a positive because the potential is, for sure, still there. We play obviously different to Juve and we all thought that could fit pretty well, so that's why I'm really pleased."

Arthur did not play in the 0-0 draw with Everton a few days later despite making the bench. Klopp said after the match: "Arthur is here and very good and very important for us but he didn't play football for a long, long time and yesterday played a rondo with us.

"We thought actually until last night that he would not be available, he was in the squad but it was not the plan to bring him on."

Klopp also spoke about Arthur after the game where the South American made his debut as a substitute in Liverpool's 4-1 loss to Napoli in the Champions League, the Liverpool manager said: "Arthur needs now just football - and training, especially, that's how it is. He wasn't in team training for a while at Juve, so he needs proper team training - and that's what we are doing with him.

"Can he play minutes? Yes. Should he play a full game? No, because he needs to get used to the intensity in each competition. It's not like in the Champions League you have to work less than in the Premier League.

"Not at all, especially not here. He is doing well, he is really giving his absolute all in training, we have to be careful with him as well and then we will see whether we can use him."

Arthur Melo joined the Reds Un-21 ranks on Saturday when the young Reds won Leicester City 1-0. It was offered as a fitness boost for the 26-year-old and is expected to return to the senior team when Jurgen Klopp's side host Brighton next month.
