PSV have confirmed that Liverpool have reached an agreement with the club to sign Cody Gakpo
Gakpo will hence depart for England immediately, where he will be subjected to the necessary formalities, including his medical in order to complete the transfer.
The transfer fee agreed is between £35m and £45m. It has s also been gathered that the Dutch winger will pen a six-year contract with the Reds following the agreement.
Gakpo's popularity increased at the World Cup, scoring three goals in five appearances before Netherlands were eliminated in the quarterfinals on penalties against Argentina.
After PSV released their statement, it was believed that Liverpool were in advanced negotiations with the club over the transfer of the 23-year-old forward as they attempted to add another attacking player to their squad following the long-term injuries to Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota.
