Micah Richards believes the timing of Darwin Nunes' move means he would be a good fit for Manchester City
Nunes caused endless trouble for City's defense as Liverpool were knocked out of the Carabao Cup in a 3-2 defeat at the Etihad Stadium on Thursday.
The Uruguayan could have scored a hat-trick after finding space behind the home defense three times. It was an action-packed 90 minutes, typical of Nunez's six-month tenure on Merseyside, with the 23-year-old at the center of everything in Liverpool's attack.
Nonetheless, former Manchester City defender Richards praised the Reds striker's ability to time his run with the ball on his feet.
Richard said: "The timing of his runs is brilliant. If he is in a Man City side today, he could have scored six because the timing of his runs is perfect.
"I thought he could have done better, this one here he’s sort of just dragged it. I like the way he timed his run here, and it’s just come off his shin."
