Liverpool told who's next fit manager when Klopp leaves

Sven-Goran Eriksson has been speaking about the prospect of Jurgen Klopp getting fired at Liverpool but not literally

Jurgen Klopp

Former England manager Sven-Goran Eriksson believes that Liverpool should pursue Argentina head coach Lionel Scaloni to replace Jurgen Klopp if it arise that the German get sacked by the club this season.

Scaloni helped Argentina win the World Cup in Qatar and has since proven to be a significant success, he also led the team to the Copa America title in 2021. Eriksson stated that Scaloni would be a suitable replacement for Klopp because of what he's done at international level.

Lionel Scaloni

"Lionel Scaloni will be of interest to many clubs, next season he will be one of the coaches who will end up in the Premier League," said Eriksson.

"If Jurgen Klopp was to get sacked this season, it's possible for Liverpool to appoint Scaloni as their next manager, but Klopp has done a great job overall, I hope he does not get sacked.

"To win the Premier League nowadays is harder than winning the World Cup, there are so many good teams in the league. It used to only be Manchester United and Arsenal, now today you have five or six teams competing for the trophy."
