The visitors appeared revitalized under their new leadership and produced a performance that suggests they'll have no problem with regards to avoiding relegation.

For Jurgen Klopp's men, there were some positive aspects, however, there were still a few issues that the German would have disliked.

However, one significant benefit for the  Reds was seeing Darwin Nunez score. The Uruguayan striker placed the ball into the far corner with a delightful volley, this brought Liverpool level before half-time.

Former Manchester City midfielder Michael Brown, who is now a television commentator for the BBC, was extremely impressed by Nunez's finish.

Brown said: “That is a ridiculous goal. Trent Alexander-Arnold has all the space on the right hand side and he plays the ball really deep.

"Darwin Nunez is stepping onto it and he catches it as clean as you will ever see and guides it past the goalkeeper into the far corner. Ridiculous Finish."
