Mount is being linked with a move to Anfield amid his contract tussle with Chelsea
Former Liverpool defender Glen Johnson has urged Jurgen Klopp to complete the transfer of Mason Mount to add flexibility to his playing pattern next season.
Klopp is well-known for wanting to add to his midfield's options this summer, and Mount has been repeatedly linked with a transfer to the Reds.
Glen Johnson said: “Liverpool heavily relied on the front three or four over many years, which don’t get me wrong, it’s worked, but there’s times in certain games when you need some more creativity and goals from midfield. Just for the odd day when two out of those three aren’t firing, for example.
“So I think there’s been a lot of speculation with Mount. I know he suffered a little bit of injury as well, but for me I think he’s the sort of guy that would really enjoy playing under Klopp.
“I think he’d suit the lads that are already there and I think he could show that, give that fresher legs, the energy, and the creativity to support those front three and four.”
