Liverpool signed Ramsay for €4.9m during the summer transfer window.
However, the former Aberdeen right-back has yet to play for the Reds' first team.
The 19-year-old was injured before the start of the 2022-23 season but is now back to full training.
Van Dijk spoke about the youngster in an interview.
Calvin Ramsay"I've seen him outside the training ground more than he is on the training ground. But what I know about him so far is that he's a good boy," he told the Scot.
"He wants to work, he's learning every day from one of the best right-backs in the country. He's learning how we want to play and what we expect from a right-back.
"He needs time, but his time will come. I'm not worried. But he's been very positive with everyone."
