Jurgen Klopp has rubbished transfer speculations following Dejan Lovren injury
Wolverhampton Wanderers FA Cup victory over Liverpool saw Lovren limped off the pitch in the early minutes of the game and was replaced by 16-year-old Ki-Jana Hoever who came on as a debutant to partner Fabinho at the center-back.
The Croatia defender now joins Joel Matip and Joe Gomez in the list of injured defenders leaving Virgil van Dijk as the only fit senior center-back available for the Reds.
However, Virgil van Dijk is ruled out of Liverpool's Round-of-16 Champions League clash with Bayern Munich next month following his suspension.
It is obviously a huge blow for Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp who answered questions on TalkSPORT regarding his weakened backline and what next in the transfer market.
Jurgen Klopp replied to questions on whether he's going to buy a new defender.
"The only country that asks a question like this is England. Everything is sorted with buying players.
"We have four centre-halves. Three, maybe, two-and-a-half are injured so we'll have to try and come through in the moment.
"We need them back but you cannot buy a fifth centre-half and say ‘so you play two weeks and after that the others come in".
The Reds will travel to face Brighton on Saturday in the Premier League with Virgil van Dijk expected to be available as the only senior center-back for the clash.
