Takumi Minamino will undergo Liverpool medical on Wednesday ahead of his proposed switch from RB Salzburg
Liverpool reached an agreement with Salzburg last week to sign the 24-year-old, who has a £7.25m release clause in his contract.
The Japan international is now expected to officially declare himself as a Liverpool player when the transfer window reopen in January.
Minamino has netted seven times in all competitions for Salzburg this season, as the Bulls finished third place in the Champions League Group E table, dropping into the Europa League last-32.
The midfielder reportedly caught Jurgen Klopp's eye after his impressive display in their two Champions League group games against Liverpool, where he scored at Anfield.
