According to a France Football survey listing the highest earning coaches in the world, Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone is the best paid coach in the world, sitting number one.

The  Argentine proved his value by masterminding Liverpool's recent defeat in the Champions League.

He clearly top the table on an annual salary of £36.2m after signing a huge new three-year contract in February 2019.

Simeone, 49, is the longest-serving coach in La Liga and has won the title, two Europa Leagues nd twice reached the Champions League final since 2011.


Antonio Conte is second on the list after a lucrative 2019 where he signed for Inter Milan for a salary of £18.2m and then won £9m from Chelsea in compensation for his 2018 sacking.

Jose Mourinho had been ranked in the top two every year since 2005 but is now joint fifth with the same income Real Madrid's Zinedine Zidane.

The Tottenham boss has a basic salary of £15m along with commercial deals with Adidas and Hublot.
