James Milner agrees new Liverpool contract

James Milner has agreed a one-year deal and a large pay cut to stay at Liverpool

It is gathered that the former Manchester City man took a large pay cut and rejected deals from other Premier League sides, as well as a potentially lucrative move to the MLS.

In remaining at Liverpool until the end of 2022-2023, Milner will reach two decades of football in the English top flight, having made his Premier League debut for Leeds, aged 16 and 309 days. It also brings his stay at Anfield to eight years, the longest he has ever spent in a club.
