Liverpool have been urged to hasten the transfer of Matheus Nunes by former ace midfielder Xabi Alonso
Liverpool have been told that it is only 'a matter of time' before Matheus Nunes leaves Portugal and Sporting Lisbon.
The Anfield club have been linked with the midfielder and so do other Premier League rivals.
And now former Liverpool defender Abel Xavier has told Portuguese outlet Eleven that he thinks Nunes will not be in Portugal much longer.
"I believe that Sporting will not be able to hold a player of this size due to his quality, which means he would adapt to any top English team," said Alonso.
"His departure from Sporting is a matter of time."
