Manchester City strike partnership deal with Jio platform

On Thursday, Manchester City announced a new regional partnership with Jio Platforms, a company that is affiliated with the Reliance Industries conglomerate.

Reliance is controlled by Mukesh Ambani, the Indian industrialist who was previously associated with rumors of a Liverpool takeover in November, however His office denied the reports.

Jio will become the official telecommunications partner of the club in India, this will involve the two parties collaborating on a variety of exciting experiences that fans can access through Jio's digital ecosystem, which includes JioTV, MyJio, Jio STB, JioEngage and other apps and platforms, as well as exclusive giveaways and in-market activities.

The goal is to assist City's long-term growth in the Indian market. The association with Manchester City's owners is facilitated by the $1.2 billion investment by Mubadala Investments into Jio Platforms in 2020. Mubadala is a corporation led by City chairman Kaldoon Al Mubarak that also has him as its CEO.
