Liverpool defender Calvin Ramsay has tested positive for Covid-19
The Scotland international is currently on loan at Preston North End but missed Saturday's 0-0 draw with Norwich City.
Having only made his debut for the Lilywhites late last month after a long layoff with a knee injury, there were inevitable concerns about his absence from the squad heading to Carrow Road.
But North End boss Ryan Lowe eased concerns after the final whistle when he revealed Ramsey's absence was due to illness following a positive test Coronavirus disease.
"He's got Covid," said Lowe post-match. "I don't know what the crack is. There's a bit of it flying around isn't there?
“He wasn't feeling well and we had to make sure we just kept him away. There was no point him travelling with us. So yeah, he's not well."
