A week unseen but good news - Thiago and Sadio Mane Covid-19 updates

Lfc Rumour (Mark Baldwin)

Both stars have spent over a week behind cameras but there's good news

Sadio Mane and Thiago Alcantara Covid-19 latest

Liverpool were dealt a huge blow in the absence of Sadio Mane and Thiago Alcantara earlier this week as they suffered a 7-2 defeat to Villa.

Diogo Jota was given the opportunity to play in hold for Mane alongside Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino but the outcome never turned out the usual show for the Reds as Dean SmithSm men completely dominated at home against the champions.

Heading into the international break, Liverpool already had two Covid-19 cases in their squad with Shaqiri confirmed later to have tested positive.

The Reds should be heading to Goodison with Mane and Thiago back to their squad to face table leaders Everton next week.

But apparently that wouldn't be the safest move, although both players are progressively recovering from the virus, with a first test done on Sadio coming out negative ( A source close to the Senegalese revealed ).

Thiago have also shown signs of complete comeback from the virus and both players are expected to return before next weekend but likely may not feature against Everton.

Meanwhile Everton have yet to lose a match. The derby will be on a different beat in comparison to the former but hopefully Adrian get his revenge on Richarlison.
