Diogo Jota wrecks Sweden

Liverpool may have found the reliable extra player they desired to tweak their front three in Diogo Jota

Diogo Jota shone against Sweden scoring two goals and providing an assist

Nonetheless a better competition for Sadio Mane, igniting the Reds attack in the near hectic period of the season.

Coming through an impressive start for Liverpool where he scored on his Premier League debut, Jota head on to put an eye catching display against Sweden on Wednesday evening in the Nations League, scoring two, setting up one and leaving the Swedish back four helpless.

The 24-year-old appeared to have perfectly employed the mandate of Cristiano Ronaldo who currently is self-isolating due to coronavirus.

Jota set up Manchester City’s Bernardo Silva to open the scoring for the Selecao , before scoring his first goal to make it 2-0 a minute into halftime.

With 18 minute gone in the second half the Liverpool forward scored his second driving inside the Swedish defence from the left and drilling a low shot pass Robin Oslen.

Jota joined Liverpool about  a month ago after a £35million plus player deal was agreed with Wolverhampton.

Jurgen Klopp's aim is to strengthen his front three for the title defence but things could get complicated in the short run maybe, a bit of selection headache if Jota continues to impress.
