Philippe Coutinho's awaited move to Merseyside - but where will the Brazilian commit himself?

Reports in Spain over  the last few months have indicated that Barcelona will look to sell Coutinho this summer as new president Joan Laporta plans squad overhaul.

Coutinho left Anfield for Barca in a club-record deal back in January 2018, but has thenceforth endured a difficult time in Spain as he struggled to recreate his Anfield form.

Given a second chance at the Nou Camp by Ronald Koeman last summer, Coutinho started the season well, but has not played since December after rupturing his meniscus.

Liverpool, along with Everton and Wolves, have been linked with the Brazilian in recent week.

But now, according to Mundo Deportivo journalist Francesc Aguilar, it is the Reds who seem the most determined to secure the 29-year-old's service once again.

The caption read: "We can't wait to welcome you back and start making special memories with you once again. @phil.coutinho #coutinho #liverpool #copacabana."
