Liverpool have identified Calvin Ramsay as a long-term competition for Trent Alexander-Arnold
The Reds have been locked in talks with Scottish club Aberdeen about a move for the 18-yea-old right-back.
A fee around £4m plus £2million in add-ons has been submitted but it has been gathered that Aberdeen will want £10m which could be a separate fee of £5m up-front and £5m add-ons.
Ramsay won the Scottish Football Writers' Young Player of the Year award after an impressive season at Aberdeen in 2021-22.
