Liverpool are pursuing a deal to sign Sporting CP midfielder Matheus Nunes this summer, it's understood.
The Reds had reportedly reached terms with the player and the Portuguese club, it was claimed, but seems likely the Anfield club could pull out of the race according to recent reports.
No tangible information about the transfer of Nunes yet, but a latest rumour have it that Manchester City could possibly beat Liverpool and Wolverhampton to the signature of the 23-year-old.
